Forgive the bad quality and angle but it is too interesting not to share. This is a photo of the U.S. military GE 80-tonner centercab unit #: 1650. This was one of two centercab units that provided the switching services for the former Military Ocean Terminal Bayonne Yard (MOTBY) in Bayonne, NJ. This photograph was taken by me, with a Polaroid camera, on one of the Armed Forces Day sometime between in 91 and 93. During the Gulf War, there was a heightened sense of patriotism and appreciation for our armed forces, so the MOTBY opened its gates up to the public. These days were extremely fun as there were multiple displays, demonstrations, and events involving the military and emergency services. Due to the size of the base, the #:1650 was paired with two vintage coaches, of unknown origin, and provided shuttle services between the different areas of the base. Good times but I wish I was a bit better with my photography when I was nine years old.

USAX #: 1650.
