After a day of CSX railfanning in Harper's Ferry, I wound up in Norfolk Southern territory. This is the Manassas Station in Manassas, VA. It was built in 1914 by the Southern Railway. It is currently served by the Amtrak Cardinal, Crescent, Northeast Regional, and Virginia Railway Express commuter trains. Here, the evening Washington D.C. bound NE Regional train has just departed and the crowds have all dispersed from the platform.
