Union Pacific #: 814 is an ALCO FEF-1 Class steam locomotive that was built in 1937 for the Union Pacific railroad. It began its career pulling the prestigious passenger trains until it was moved to freight service when diesels started taking over passenger trains. It was retired in the late 1950's and is now on display at the RailsWest Railroad Museum in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This photo was taken on 03.28.12. Almost 13 years ago to the date. Time sure does fly.
