A week and 180-degree weather later, the two CNJ veteran units are paired up, once again. On October 7th, 2023, New Jersey Transit held its annual "Family Day". This event is for all the families and guests of NJT employees to see and enjoy all the things that go on in the NJT Meadows Maintenance Complex (MMC) in Kearny, NJ. It has tours, equipment displays, barbecues, and usually have a debut of any new paint schemes or equipment that NJT acquired. It may have been rainy, dismal, and colder than the previous weekend, but it was a very good event, nonetheless.
