The clock tower is the only thing that remains of the Great Northern Depot in Spokane, WA. The depot was built in 1902, on Havermale Island, and was used up until the 60's when passenger traffic dried up. In the 70's, the depot was demolished to make way for the Expo of 1974 and all that was kept was the clocktower. The clock tower faces are all 9' across, making it the largest clock in the western US.
