The Canadian Pacific #: 7009 is a Fairbanks-Morse H-16-66 that was never really owned by the Canadian Pacific Railroad. It was built in 1958 for the Squaw Creek Coal Company which later became Alcoa. After serving for Alcoa, it was purchased for private use in 1982. It has undergone multiple restorations, including the repainting to the Canadian Pacific Heritage Scheme that it currently displays. It was never used by Canadian Pacific Railway and it was given the fictitious #: 7009 that was used by the railroad for its demonstrator units. Since 2012, ithas been put on display near the former Nelson Depot turned Visitor's Center in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.
