Newport, WA was served by two competing railroads. Each railroad built their own depots and were adjacent to each other. This is the Great Nothern Railroad Depot that was built in 1910. It was later used by the Burlington Northern and is currently used as an office for a local lumber company which owns the Pend Oreille Valley (POVA) Railroad that serves the company mills.
