In the lull between SEPTA trains, the West Trenton Station looks nice and peaceful on this beautiful summer night. The station was built in 1929 for the Reading Railroad. After the absorption of Reading into Conrail the station saw passenger service up to 1982, when then commuter operator New Jersey Transit discontinued service. The station is now the terminus of SEPTA trains running the West Trenton Line service. That is the unused portion of the station as the CSX trains run on that track.
