Rock Island #: 17209 was built for the Rock Island Railroad in 1971. When the railroad was absorbed by Union Pacific, it became the Union Pacific #: 24627. When the Union Pacific donated it to the museum, the streetside was painted to its former Rock Island livery and number, the trackside, facing the now UP rails, was not painted and remains in Union Pacific colors.
