The storm dumped record breaking amounts of rain in the   tri-state area, causing the surrounding lakes and rivers to flood extensively. Here, this ex-Reading Railroad bridge in Bridgewater, NJ, was lifted off its foundation by the severe flooding of the Raritan River. Though this bridge was not in mainline use, it was used by Manville Yard locals for headroom and car storage and, when not in use, it was used as an access road to the yard by the railroad crews. It was unbelievable, for me, to see the bridge like this and even more unbelievable to note that, only three days earlier, this very spot was covered in 6+ feet of water.
