This picture is dedicated to my grandfather, a railroader of 49 years, starting on the Jersey Central and ending with Conrail Shared Assets. Though he was retired before this unit came out, and didn't get to run it, he really didn't miss the missed opportunity. He was content knowing that he ran almost all the types of diesels in the Jersey Central Fleet and many other units, of mixed heritage, during his 49 years of service.
