Rock Island #: 743 is an Alco RS1 built in May 1943 for the Rock Island Railroad. After having multiple owners, it was finally donated to the Oklahoma Railway Museum in 2000 where it was repainted into its original paint scheme and number that we see it wearing in this photo.
