This photo demonstrates just how slow freight operations can be. Conway to Chattanooga train #: 171 is exiting the Fort Wayne Line onto the NS Sandusky District in Bucyrus, OH. This train was photographed earlier that morning, as it departed Mansfield, OH. This means that the train took a little over seven hours to go from Mansfield to Bucyrus, which is 28 miles away. Talk about snail pace. It didn't occur to me that this was the same train I saw, previously, until I saw the car with the Siemens transformers on it.
