This is a view looking north, across the DMZ, into North Korea. In the foreground are the bullet riddled remains of the original rail bridge, which linked both Koreas, and was destroyed during the war. On the left is the new bridge that was constructed, along with Dorasan Station, in 2002, when the political situation between the two Koreas seemed a bit brighter. With the recent re-escalation of tensions between the two, the new bridge sits unused and is as much a of scar from the war as the remains of the original bridge.

Scars from a Forgotten War.
