A gorgeous view on a gorgeous day. After a nice hike up the mountain, I was rewarded with this famous view of Harper's Ferry, WV at the confluence of the Potomac (to the right) and the Shenandoah River (to the left). Since my goal was to get a photo of a train crossing, the only reliable train is the 11:31am Amtrak, "Capitol Limited". It is the only Amtrak train that stops at the Harper's Ferry Station besides a few weekday only MARC trains. Here, the train has just left the station and is crossing the Potomac River and is headed towards Washington, D.C. The train is led by Amtrak #: 174 in Phase VII paint.

View from Maryland Heights.
