This odd Santa Fe unit is called the, "Doodlebug". It was built in 1932 and provided commuter service on the AT&SF until its retiremen in 1968. Though it was originally on display at the California State Railroad Musuem, it was brought to Belen, NM and is on display near the BNSF yard in Belen, NM. It's difficult to photograph with two fences guarding the unit.

The, "Doodlebug".
